Infrastructure Development

The team from FEI has extensive experience in advising governments on the development of infrastructure and urbanization needed to support economic growth at the central and local levels. FEI is also experienced in strengthening related institutions to ensure that investments are sustainable.

The FEI team excels at:

  • Developing project planning and monitoring procedures to ensure that projects achieve their desired outcomes Supporting governments with all aspects of project finance from public and/or private sources, including value capture of property development revenue streams
  • Designing and developing projects to support local economic growth

The infrastructure deficit in developing and many developed countries has been well documented. Moreover, the vital linkage between well-planned, integrated, networked urban development and economic development is just being realized.  These deficits constrain economic growth and with the rapid pace of urbanization and the need to address growing environmental and climate change challenges, the demand to develop critical, well-contextualized infrastructure is expected to increase sharply in the near future.

The FEI team has extensive experience in planning, designing, developing, implementing, and monitoring integrated urban development and major infrastructure projects, in virtually every sector, in countries throughout the world.

The FEI team has extensive experience in planning, designing, developing, implementing, and monitoring integrated urban development and major infrastructure projects, in virtually every sector, in countries throughout the world.  While the need to address this infrastructure gap is urgent, it is also essential to support and advise governments to address the institutional issues that too often lead to poorly integrated infrastructure design and under-funding of needed operations and maintenance as well as inadequate cost recovery policies.  The team from FEI not only has the hands-on project experience but it also has the complementary institutional experience to ensure that investments will be sustainable.
